    History:
  • A hundred and nineteen acres of park-like property with a large stand of oak trees is offered for sale. It was part of the old Spanish land grant , Rancho Tujunga, protected by it’s remoteness until a paved road was built during the thirties as a make-work project connecting Little Tujunga Canyon with Sand Canyon over Dillon and Bear Divide’s to the north.
  • That highway followed a primitive horse trail that riders on horseback used to deliver mail. It is said they used a cabin just southwest of the property as a way station. That cabin serves as the headquarters to the modern day Wildlife Waystation.
  • It is still rugged and remote but it is in full view from the upper end of Little Tujunga Canyon Road. A primitive power line service road called the Burma Trail cuts through the north end of the property offering equestrian access to miles of forest service roads and the nearby Pacific Crest Trail which goes from Mexico to Canada.
  • Nestled safely at the foot of the ancient granite cliffs of the San Gabriel Mountains in a natural bowl which drains to Indian Springs where an early twentieth century summer resort was built. Just over a rugged ridge to the southeast is where Cecil B. DeMille built his beautiful Paradise Ranch.
